With over 20 years of experience, Allison Van Rassel has solidified her position as a leading figure in Quebec’s gastronomy scene. Her infectious passion, constructive yet rigorous criticism, and ability to unearth inspiring and mouthwatering culinary experiences have garnered her a loyal virtual community exceeding 100,000 subscribers. Her signature greeting, “Salut les gourmands,” has become synonymous with excellence in Quebec food media, and her influence extends far beyond the province. Beyond her regular national columns on Radio-Canada and CBC, and her prolific contributions across social media, Allison actively engages with the culinary community. She lends her expertise by serving on juries for prestigious awards like En Route’s Best New Restaurants in Canada and Les Lauriers de la Gastronomie Québécoise.

Her passion for food education was further exemplified when she served as ambassador for the 10th anniversary of the Limoilou Public Market and hosted the 2023 Bien manger à L’école Forum organized by Le chantier pour un programme d’alimentation scolaire universel au Québec (PASUQ). For the past three years, Allison has played a key role in hosting the Ministère de l’Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l’Alimentation du Québec (MAPAQ) annual meeting of bio-food policy partners. She has also expanded her influence by creating content for the MAPAQ’s social platforms. Her reach continues to grow with a second year of collaboration with Tourisme Chaudière-Appalaches and an invitation to participate in the prestigious 2024 World’s 50 Best Restaurants unveiling in Las Vegas and became 1001 Fondues’ spokesperson.
